The same thing happens to us all! But who we are affects how we define them
It’s funny how bad things affect us as Christians as well.. Who we are in JESUS gives us the strength to define the pain differently! We see those things as just another hurdle to scale over!
It was the beginning of the school year of college as a freshman back in Nigeria in 2009, the strikes had already began, where the lecturers were not paid by the government and the academic sessions were put on hold! I was meant to be done with college in 5 years, due to the off and on strikes I was able to finish it in 7 years! During that time, my relationship with GOD flourished, so much so I started a music group, where I found a connection that led me to move to the U.S, I also gathered experience in the I.T field, dabbled in some start ups and many more during that same time! It was something bad designed to happen to us all as college students, but I defined it differently with JESUS! The same sun that melts the wax hardens the clay!
You can define things differently with JESUS, that heartbreak could make you stronger, where you learn to forgive and move on, learning to trust GOD with everything, being more vulnerable with HIM! Trusting the HOLY SPIRIT more! That job loss could give you time to grow as a person in CHRIST! That intense and long wait before marriage could make you a better and smarter person! We might experience the same situation as the unbeliever but we can't get the same results at the end of the day! We are not the same! We are Christians!
